The Cage

To end the torture theme for this week, I have completed a cage to hold the poor victim in till its his or her time to meet their demise. Constructed from skewers and card board with a card base with stones in the bottom.

Next on the agenda is to get all the separate bits painted so they can be used in a game we have coming up. With each piece I have made I keep remembering the book, The Princes Bride when poor Wesley is tortured to death by Count Rugen. Great story.

Iron Maiden!

No not the band, not a fan, but the instrument of torture, which to some, the band may well be...
Anyway here is my Iron Maiden, which is based on a large cork, with card bands and a few spiky bits on top. I hope it will look better when painted, but we will see.

Metal Torture Table

Following on from the Rack that I made the other day I have also made a torture table, with a small saw and a poker for all those intimate places!

Again made from card, wire, foam board, cocktail stick and PVAcrete, think I may try to copyright that term, if it hasn't already been done. (Not really)

I did consider cutting into the table top between the steel bars but it seemed too fiddly so didn't bother.

The Delivery: Film

The Delivery

The latest film/adventure with our intrepid heroes delivering the Casket to the Mage Nevom. Will they complete the task?

The Rack

Realised the other day that I had never made a torture room set of furniture. I was keen to rectify this and get away from made clumps of rocks! So this is where I am at the moment, the rack was the first to be made.

Lots of card, foam board, thin wire cocktail sticks and PVAconcrete. The main shaft of the "winder" is made from a bit of left over decorative wood, the sort of thing you get from Ikea.

Rock n Roll

All the small rock sections were completed yesterday, it was a long slog, separated by periods where sections were drying, which allowed me to regain my sanity. Here are some photos of the cavern tiles with all the rock sections added.

Also some close ups of the sections, which I will definitely be using in other games,

Rock Production

The last few days I have not had too much time to do any modelling or posting. But when I have I've been making rock formations for the cavern set, here is where we are at the moment.

Like a lot of the stuff I make, I think that these could well be used in other games, WFB or KOW and probably Warmaster too, even Mordheim or Necromunda I hope.

This lot added to the ones I had initially made should give me 60 of the things, I will never make any more.
