Circle Orboros Warband

Storm and Stone
I thought I would post all the models that I have put together for my Circle Orboros Warband. These have been modelled in the cheapest way possible. They are all conversions from other ranges of model I have had lying about, or models that I could alter with little effort. But mainly the warband had to be cheap in terms of cash.

The majority come from parts/bits of GW stuff that I have in my bits box added to green stuff. Some are converted Reaper miniatures.

Feral and Pureblood Warpwolves, both made from GW Wolf heads and the rest from card and green stuff.

The Argus are made from GW wolves and green stuff, the one on the left is my least favorite, heads need remodeling! Kaya is made from various high elf bits from GW and some green stuff.

The Druids are made from old GW wood elves, I have enough for a second unit.

Pureblood Warpwolf.

The Gorax is made from a GW beastmen from the 90's.

Shifting Stones are completely scratch built, card and green stuff.

I have further models in the pipeline, but these may well take along time to complete as I have loads of other projects to complete.
These are all models I have, or am in the middle of, modeling, but not painted.
Tharn Ravagers: Tharn wolf riders: Shadowhorn and Gnarlhorn Satyrs: Blackclad Wayfarer: Druid Overseer: War Wolf: Mohsar.
My aim is to have a varied 50 points, can't see me using more.

Circle Terrain

Have been making these pieces of terrain on and off for the last 3 months now, yesterday I completed the largest hill so thought I would take some pictures. I have tried with the materials, seed pods and wicker bits, to make this terrain Circle influenced. Also lots of stones painted with Circle markings, which I enjoyed making.

I think that I mentioned in an earlier post that these bits of terrain were left over from WFB stuff that didn't really fit with what I had. So I have tried to give this lot a theme as mentioned earlier.

Now all I have to do is to convince my friend that he needs to play Hordes and we'll be away.

Next I will be posting my entire Circle Orboros warband.

Feral Warpwolf

I made this Feral Warpwolf for my Circle Orboros warband quite a while ago now. It was built from a GW wolf's head then an armature of card, layered on top with green stuff to create the details.

Again I'm not trying to suggest that I am a great modeller, far from it. But I do enjoy making them and they do save me tons of money.

The base is just made from card cut into a disc using a Stanley knife.

Here is where you see the limitations in my sculpting ability really shining through- the back always escapes me.

Circle Terrain

When I started modelling miniatures to play Hordes I realised that I had loads of bits of terrain not doing anything and far from finished. So, about 3 months ago I decided that I could create some specific Circle terrain to play on.

I'm still making, or perhaps altering, would be nearer the mark, all sorts of bits and pieces, I will try to post a piece or two each week.

This is a small hill, one I had originally made for WFB, but I had never really used it, or finished it.
I wanted to really get the feeling of Circle into the terrain, the glyphs and dias type surfaces I hope achieve this.

Circle Orboros

These are the models I have made to play Hordes with. The first four anyway. I have made these from bits and pieces from my bits box or from the odd occasional purchase from Ebay, like a shed load of wolves for next to nothing. And a fair bit of greenstuff.

Again they are not brilliant but they are ok to play with.

I have only played Hordes about 5 times in total, but have enjoyed the games so far.
Have been making terrain out of old stuff I had lying about and have been adding models so that I can field about a 50 point force.

Will add further photographs as and when I can.

Pies

I have my fingers, creatively speaking, in about half a dozen different pies at the moment. Non of them have come to completion, but when they do I will be posting photos and any notes that come with them.

One thing I have been running along in the background now for quite some time, but haven't posted about is the Hordes, circle army I have been putting together. I have played Hordes about 6 times and not recently, but love the feel of the game and the designs.

However being a bear of very little means I have modeled all the figures from left over bits or cheap stuff from Ebay. Non are the proper models.

I have made quite a bit of terrain too for both WFB and Quest which will be complete by the weekend I think, again, some of which is Hordes orientated.

Anyway, watch this space.
