I started making this Fey settlement a while back for two reasons. Firstly because I'm in the midst of playing a Daggerheart Rpg game with some friends and we decided to play it GM less for a bit of fun. The idea being that all the PCs came from the same settlement and this way we could visualise what that looked like. Also I thought it would be fun to use in my 10 mm games of Frostgrave if I felt that a Fey village or something might appear in the narrative.
I built 7 "tree" blocks, a smaller central hub, which became a pub in our game and a load of forest walkways to join the blocks together.
The little pond and the trees I had already made ages ago.
All the blocks were made from, cling film tubes, cereal box card, wooden tapers, cat food box card, sand and glue.
Obviously various shades of paint as well.
I really enjoyed making these and the other players in the group enjoyed using them as reference, although we only used about 4 of the blocks as we decided we lived in a small village.
I had bought a couple of pairs of specialist scissors that really came in handy for this project, they were dead cheap at Morrisons 99p a pair.
Look forward to using them in Frostgrave also, should be fun.
