Buildings in 10 mm: Frostgrave and Warmaster

This is another small set of buildings I intend using in my 10 mm version of Frostgrave. These are different from the first set in that they are more obviously medieval and featuring lots of timber work made from matchsticks.

I  intend mixing these in with the other models, they give me the opportunity to create sets or groups of terrain that expand variety and keep games from looking too repetitive and boring.

A few close ups to give a little more incite into how they were made and painted. The only materials I used here that are different from before are the tapers for floorboards and matchsticks for timber sections.

I think these will work well for both Frostgrave and Warmaster, either fantasy or historical.
I am currently working on some rocky outcrops and an Orc or Viking village.
Future projects will include some complete buildings which I think will come in handy for D&D city encounters.

Frostgrave: 10 mm Terrain

Two new buildings to add to my slowly developing Frostgrave ruins collection.

First  I made the base ruined building. I intend making several of these for the finished board.
I'm thinking of making the basic board 16 inch square and hope to add some raised sections for variety.
Presently I have a 12 inch board washed up, its what you can see in the background of these pictures.

From the other side.

I'm not creating the classic snowbound terrain look, a ruined city, reminiscent of Mordheim is what i'm after.

The second ruin is possibly a church or temple.
Lots of arches to hide beneath and tumble down walls.

Same temple form various angles.

Next time I post another collection of these I will place one of my 10 mm miniatures in shot for size comparison.

Cottage/Shop front for DnD and...

What started as a simple construction, and one which I was not happy with, has undergone quite a few changes and now has many uses.

I have extended the roof, detailed the inside walls and added wood beams, but the most interesting bits are the partial, ruined side walls and the ruined floor for the second floor. It now resembles and fits in with the other ruins I have recently been making.

This means that I can still use it for DND as originally designed but I can also use it for Frostgrave and even Kings of War as ruins.

Also it stores a lot easier than the full cottages I have made in the past, which I like very much. I have started to add these features to a second town house with 2 floors. Will be painting this hopefully at the end of the week.

I much prefer to have multiple uses for my builds, I have to say I am much happier with this model now.

Ruined Buildings Final Post

This is a collection of shots of the three pieces of ruined building terrain I have been making this last month on and off. Not going to explain how they were made as I've already done that here.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
