Beers of War: A New Hop

It was the ever popular Beers of War series of tournaments again this weekend, sadly I could not play for one reason or another but I did get to pop along yesterday and spend some time chatting with Lee,  Luke and Chris which was nice and got to take some pictures of the games.

Loads of fantastic armies and plenty of smart terrain from Lukes APS and gaming mats from Pworks.

Very much quieter day Sunday, it was Kings of War singles, the Saturday seeing a 40K doubles and KOW doubles games too, where, by all accounts, a lot of beer was consumed. So sore heads on Sunday :-)

Event: Fiasco 2017

A few shots of the Fiasco Wargame Event at the Leeds Armoury on Sunday. Had a lot of fun and could have spend a fortune.

I walked away from Ainsty Casting with a row boat, a Heritor and Vine Warden for Ghost Archipelago all for Mrs Daxio. When painted I will post.

Some excellent deals. Very tempted.

Lots of demo games.

Very well attended.

I had a thoroughly interesting 3 hours, look forward to next one.

Frostgrave: Terrain on an Industrial Scale pt 4

Realised that I had not posted the completed terrain pieces I made for the Beers of War Tournament the other week.

So here they are, put together to create a scene of sorts on a 3' by 4' board.

There are five tables worth of terrain here although there was a lot more on the tables as you may have seen in a few posts ago, as I had added a lot of my personal terrain and centre pieces to give each table character.

I got a bit carried away with the pictures so there's plenty to look at :-)

On the table the only things I didn't make for the event were the mausoleum piece and the raised cobbled area.

There are still a few bits to finish off as I never got the chance to stain and seal them all.

KOW: Beers of War The KoWalina Winemixer

Some general pictures of a few of mine and Mick's games followed by a load of pictures of the players armies. Lots of KOW goodness.

We had a great day, but didn't do very well, we narrowly missed out on 3 wins and managed to turn them into 3 losses. Main thing was that we had fun, which we most certainly did.

The Armies

Lee getting us all organised.

More Armies

Yes a historical Roman list, fantastic.

Our last game, V Herd and Romans.
