KOW: Bulwarkers Horde

Finally completed the Bulwarker Horde for my Dwarf Kings of War army, not many units left to complete now and when these models are all put together and painted I will not be buying any more
(famous last words)

The two unit fillers are made from stuff I have made and cheap bear models from Home Bargains.

I made all the spears from card and cocktail sticks.

The bottle behind is an oil burner, its Serefina's.

Have to say I had real problems attaching the spears, they didn't seem to want to go anywhere, in the end I put them where they best suited.

Dwarf Bulwarkers Unit Filler

The little bear came from Home Bargains, the Dwarf from Ebay, the hardboard was scavenged, the barrels ans sack are made from Fimo and the boxes are made from matchsticks and lolly sticks.

This model will replace 12 dwarfs and I hope break up the large unit.

I have another to make for the other side of the unit so it matches up. More barrels on the next one.

Kings of War: Tribal Warrior Filler

Made this last night and intend making another 4 for the Beastmen/ Herd. Should make it easier to cart miniatures about and hopefully make the army look a bit more interesting.

This first one was only really made because when I was cleaning out a box the other day I came across the Minotaur which had been one of my first attempts at sculpting and molding. Not brilliant I have to say, but will work in this situation. I have another, but it is not complete, no hands or feat, so we will see what comes of that in the future.

Here it is in the unit.

What's A Wrestler Good For?

Thought I would share some of the other models I have used from my sons ancient collection of midgit wrestlers. These have all been made in the last year, so not really completely up to date/recent stuff, but here by way of examples of what hideousness can be created with toys and GS :-)

A little disclaimer is needed here I feel: in no way am I suggesting these are well made or well sculpted, I know my limitations. They are a bit of cheap fun and when placed on the games table invariably become a talking point and object of fun/ridicule. We always laugh, I laugh, my friends laugh, my kids and "she who must not be named" laughs. So please feel free to LAUGH.

First up we have some trolls, which are just trolls for WFB and I made them because I didn't have the money to buy the real models.

Then we have some unit fillers, these represent 9 models. The first is for an orc/bigun unit:

The next is a unit filler for Black orcs in the same army.

I actually made these two models so that I didn't have to cart around quite so many figures to play a game of Kings of War. One of these fillers and 11 other single models arranged round the edge gives a 20 orc unit.

Lastly I made two unit fillers for my Night Goblin army too. These were the very first models I made from the wrestlers, the giant Squigs being made from glass nuggets with milliput wrapped, rather badly, round them. And that's the lot.

I think they're fun and they cost very little to make :-)
