Chimera Wings

Have just finished building the wings of the Chimera, out of cereal card and green stuff. Am reasonably happy with how they have gone, especially since I've never made wings like them before.

I saw a video on you tube which detailed how to make parrot wings out of card and paper and it really inspired me to have a go at wings made from individual feathers. So I cut a basic card armature the cut lots of individual feathers and stuck them on, above and below, bending some before I glued them.

When I build this sort of thing I often cannot really tell just how fun or awful the final outcome will be. Not until I have painted the model will the terrible truth be evident! So this weekend is when I will know.
