Hadrian's Wall

Following on from yesterdays pictures here's a few I took of Hadrian's wall, particularly the Town of Vindolanda, what's left. It was absolutely fantastic to walk round, so had to take some pictures. Also the tour guide was very knowledgeable too, smashing fella.

Vindolanda was first built in about 78AD  and then added to until the Romans left Britain. I was originally wood but was built in stone and that is what remains.

A series of low walls!
