Ruin Terrain Experiment in 30 mm

This is a set of terrain ruins I have been working on in the last few weeks for roughly 30 mm scale figures. I can see them being used in D&D or 40K or even KOW or Warhammer Old world.

Had great fun developing the design and have given this set to a local shop to see if they will sell. If they do I will be looking to make more of them to earn a little extra cash being as I am fully retired now.

I have made templates for all the separate parts so reproducing the ruins will be straight forward enough.

Didn't mean for the pictures to look quite so atmospheric but were taken in a make shift location as I'm currently moving my work area from one part of the house to another.

Thanks for popping in to see how unexpected my day has been

Small Shack Complete

This was supposed to be a more straight forward build but because I used pieces of plaster to represent the stone for the walls it actually become a more fiddly body of work. A process I will probably not use again.

The other problem I had with this build was at the painting stage as I have run out of the deep brown colour I use to undercoat wood. Now this is going to sound a bit sad, but being retired I have to watch the pennies ( car needs MOT ing! ). So I had to use whatever paint I had to hand.

I still have at least 3 more cottages to refurbish as well as The Windy Wharfe Tavern, all of which I will be working in a more traditional way.

Storage Box Complete

Finished varnishing the storage box last night, its really solid and look forward to using it next time I travel to Mick's, or the Club.

Lastly a shot of the storage box and some of the smaller boxes I have made over the years.

Also did some site work as realised that most of my posts in the last 18 months have been to do with Warhammer Quest but that I had not labelled any of them as Quest items- well now I have.

Arcane Fulcram

It has taken me a long time to complete this model, and now I finally have, the whole warhammer fantasy battle world has moved on, typical. Not really got my finger on the pulse but never mind I had fun and do hate having half finished models knocking about the place.

This was all made from foamboard, card and stones of various sizes. I do have another but is even further off completion, so perhaps in another year when another version of WFB comes along. Who knows.
