The Undead

Have put together a whole series of pictures of the new/old Undead models I have been working on recently.

Some are completely hand made, but most are conversions, with bits taken from all my bits boxes, saved over last 20 years or so.

All the terrain was made quite a while ago, can't remember when, but seemed to fit.

Wights and Skeletons

Finally got some paint on my self styled Wights. These were made from rather old Black Orc models from the 90's. I changed around their weapons and modeled extra armour with green stuff.

These are the Wights, based on the Black Orcs and heads from a simple mold I made. Have been spending a bit more time on their bases, although I haven't put any stones on them yet.

New skeletons which I am calling basic skeletons and the ones that I have been using which have more armour, will become Tomb Guard. I may add more armour to them at some time, but not now.

Close ups of the Wights and the skeletons together.

New Cottage Development coming to your area...

I have to say that these last 5 cottages are doing my head in! I have so many things I would rather be doing, however they are taking up space on my shelf, getting in my way and need finishing.

They have moved along since the last post, but not far enough.

I have been caught up in a couple of other projects not even Quest related. I'm trying to get my Hordes army to 35 pts and create a set of themed terrain pieces. These are grabbing my interest away from anything else at the moment.

Added to which I lost my phone last night, I take all my pictures with it, so major calamity, but my better half found it this morning (I obviously have "Man Eyes").

Here is where the cottages are at, next time you see them they "will" be completed!!!!!

Only one complete, on outside... dare not look inside!!

Trees

A while ago I was chatting with a fella over on Warseer, where I post as well, we were talking about trees, as you do, and how to make them.

Hard board bases, covered in sand and stones; a basic card shape to build on; bent the frame; covered in toilet paper infused with wood glue and water; after painting I glued some clumps of foliage onto the outer edges.

In the background you may see some terrain I am working on for the game Hordes, which I am slowly getting into.

Gorgon Models

I finally got the three Gorgon models painted ready for play. One is a reaper miniature, very nice, the other two are part hand made, part cobbled together from wood elf bits and pieces.

The snake bodies were made using milliput, which I used with some vaseline, for the first time ever and it did make quite a difference to the finger prints left on the material.

This is where we were some while ago. The first stage of the process.

This was very, very fiddly!!!

Second stage, all the models complete and undercoated. They remained like this for a while.

But this is how they look now, on my WFB table.

Some close ups.
