Plague Warband Complete

I started work on these a few days ago just after I had part completed the Stage 2 model, after I had sorted out the colour scheme I embarked on a "complete the warband" fest.

There is one stage 1, 3 stage 2, the stage 3's x 5 and the two hound things.

I have enjoyed painting these and they haven't taken too long to be honest. They have a very limited colour scheme, something I always try to do with all my models. I very rarely use more than three colours.

Then the whole model, including the base is given a quick coat of dark oak varnish to get into all the details.

Plague stage 2

I took some more pictures of the first Plague model I've painted, this time in amongst some buildings and with Endil Gomez.

Not getting the close up's right yet, arms in focus, head out!!

With Endil fighting it out.

Again photographic skills letting me down.

Plague Miniature

This is my first model painted from the Deadzone set I got last Christmas, not long eh a year to paint.
Will be looking at the rest of the Plague models in next few day.

Finished Doors

These have taken me a long time, partly because they are time intensive, partly because I didn't have the correct materials, partly because I have felt rotten for last week.

Next I need to playtest and create cards etc. But not for a while.

Necrozone Doorways

I am still in the middle of making the doorways for Necrozone, but time and lack of card is hampering me. Sometimes making everything from recycled stuff can mean you have to wait for a cereal packet to be finished or for a delivery to be made so you can cannibalise the wrapper!

At the moment I am at an impasse, I don't want to have to go out and buy a sheet of card but at the same time I am sick of working with loads of off cuts: would be so much easier with a nice new sheet.

But I will persevere. This is what I've got at the moment.

And because I undercoat by hand the process is quite lengthy, but thorough.

Rocky Road

No, not the delicious chocolaty cake/pudding/stuff, some rocky bits that I have knocked up to add a feeling of "cavern" around the corridors and rooms I've been making. They're made from hardboard bases with bits of foam board shapes glued on , covered in sand and then painted.

I can see myself making a lot of these and a few larger ones too.

They just need some stain putting on them and they're done.
