Goblin Goddess

Every now and then, in between modelling other stuff, I have been adding too this ornament I bought in The Range for £2.99. Each little bit of left over GS I plonked on its face and now its complete so here it is.

ClashOTF: Painted Trooper 10 mm

Although I am insanely busy today, will be driving 150 miles to visit family, I couldn't resist putting this up. Only painted the one model and will look forward to doing rest when I get back, in a couple of days.

ClashOTF: Green Troops

As I mentioned a week ago I am still in the throws of creating my own 10mm troops for Clash On The Fringe. I had never modeled a 10mm miniature before, not from scratch anyway, so this has been a voyage of discovery for me, one that I have really enjoyed.

Storm troopers, or guard of some sort.

Unity troopers or marines.

Model suffering from FLS, Fat Leg Syndrome :-)

I've learnt loads from making these and I've realised that some new tools for making specific marks would be very useful.

The Castle: So far, Still Old

Just to show that I have not been sitting about doing nothing to the castle I half destroyed recently, I thought I would share where I am up to at the moment.

I have taken all the pieces that had formed the main body of the castle and separated them into individual sections. Next I based all the walls and main keep area on hardboard, the towers I fiddled with quite a bit because I wanted them to look more like the tower I had made for the small temple.

So I had cut lower doorways on two sides and two higher doorways to connect to wall sections, added in a second floor and stripped all the plaster off the very top of the tower so that stone could be added. The pieces I have cut out will become window sections or doorways.

Lastly I had a separate building that needed work, so with this I cut new door and archways out of the walls so that figures can be placed inside. I do need to get on my bandsaw and cut a hardboard base for this last building section.

Finally for this section of work I need to cut the stone clad for the towers and the two wall sections that don't have any then secure the bases with PVAcrete.

Notice the gaps, I have had to make two more towers to fill them.

I've opened up all the towers and fitted an interior level

Still tons of work to do, will try another update at the beginning of June.

Skaven and Ogres and Tunnels Oh My

Put together a photo shoot for all the Skaven I made last month, on the Tunnels I made over the past few months. I used a variety of  terrain to fill the gaps between and try to achieve a more cavern like feel: partly dried seed pods from a large supermarket and partly rock formations I made a while ago.
Looking at them my feeling is the set up needs height, either large rock formations or something I am currently working on which will give multiple layers, more later this week :-)
