D&D 5e: Yulmanda's Druid Spell Cards

If you have been catching my Blog for long you will know I occasionally draw and often like to make home made cards to play all sorts of games with.

Here are the spell cards and how I made them for Mrs Daxio's D&D character the Druid Yulmanda.

Starts with A4 card from the Range.

Quarter it.

I used another to get size, player card size so goes in Dragon Shield cover.

Cut and fold.

Cut out the edges to suggest a spell book....ish

Write out info, leaving out some unnecessary definite articles etc.

Writing the description is the hardest part of the process and my least favourite bit, but they are all done.

Finally an quick lick of wash round the edges to give a bit of colour and they are done.

Dry Stone Walls

Been working on some dry stone walls, from which we hope to create molds so they can be reproduced in the future. Immediately they are for the Saga board Luke and I are working on.

These are made on a card base and the stones are made from plaster which has been poured out thin on a tray and left to dry. It produces a variety of thickness' which what I was after.

Experimented with having a pillar as well, will seee how this goes.

Next stage is to fill the gaps with watered down Das, them undercoat to see how they look.

Cottage Update

Here is the final update for the cottage I began refurbishing about a month ago, all the exterior and most of the interior is now complete and I must say that I think it is definitely improved since the original model was built some 3 years ago.

Just to remind yo how the cottage looked when I began this whole process. To think that I was really happy with how it looked back then!

Gaslands: Zombie Bash

This week Luke, Dan, Steve and Fran got together to play the Zombie Bash scenario from the Gaslands book and much fun was had. I was busy playing a one off game of Necromunda, but took some pictures and sat in on the end of the game.

In Zombie Bash I believe you have to collect Zombies by landing next or on them at the end of your move. Dan proved to be a master of the Zombie capture, grabbing a right haul, see bottom of lower picture to see how many.

In the end Fran used a Thumper to for one of Dan's and Steve's cars off the board, while Dan stormed into one of Luke's prison vehicles, wrecking them both.

Dan's Buggy eyeing up Luke's prison car.

In the final moments I think that only Fran had any vehicles on the table, but Dan had collected far more Zombies and was declared the winner. Also. it seems from messages I have seen today that the Thumper may have been deployed some what erroneously, who cares, they had fun and it was a genuine mistake :-)
